14th Annual Global Education Forum

The 14th Annual Global Educational Forum is an instrument of diversity in research, teaching, and service across the University of Georgia campus and Athens community, with featured scholars coming within and outside the University sharing the state-of-the art scholarship to inform current human developments in local and global context. While past forums focused on women in science and medicine, Olympics and development, and human health, the 2020 forum centers on sport, development, and community in worldwide communities.

If you are interested in a career practicing business law in Georgia, you may have cases before the new Georgia Business Court. Join Judge Walt Davis and one of his law clerks to learn more about the court and opportunities to advance your career by working for the court, either as an extern during the school year or summer or as a post-grad law clerk for the court. Judge Davis will describe the jurisdiction and procedures of the court and talk about the kinds of cases and controversies that he is hearing since the court began operations on August 1 of this year.

2021 Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Breakfast

Hamilton Holmes Jr., son of Hamilton Holmes Sr. and a business development director for Pieper O'Brien Herr Architects in Alpharetta, will present the keynote address for the 18th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Breakfast.

In place of the traditional ticketed breakfast, the event will be celebrated with a video premiere on Friday, Jan. 15 at 9 a.m. on UGA's Facebook page. This virtual event is free and open to the public. The theme for this year's program is, "The Power of the Dream: Forging a Path Forward."
