As you move through law school, and after you become a lawyer, there will be numerous occasions where you need to quickly introduce yourself.  Preparing your "elevator speech" will help you to convey your interests and qualifications quickly, and will help you to make genuine professional connections.

This type of short introduction is called an "elevator speech" because it should be about as long as a typical elevator ride.
