Hello UGA Law! Please join SBA and GLMHA for a yoga session on Herty Field on October 12th at 5:00 pm! Maggie Scruggs from Shakti Yoga will lead the session, where students of all experience levels are welcome to come out and enjoy the 50-minute class. As law students, yoga is beneficial in managing stress and bringing calmness to our otherwise hectic schedules, and we hope you all leave feeling more peaceful and balanced. Please bring your own mat and water bottle- if you do not have access to a yoga mat, just let us know and we will provide one.
Come join Georgia Law Mental Health Alliance on Monday, October 10 for our annual Wellbeing Week panel! This year's theme is, "What Do We Do Now?" We'll be focusing on how to take care of our mental health as law students and ways our professors can support us in that endeavor. By building self-care habits now, we can sustain them in our future. Our panel features Professors Coenen, Beck, and Rodrigues and 3L students ChiChi Drayton-Smith and David Lerner. If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice will be hosting an informational interest meeting for students interested in reproductive justice. Whether you want to practice in the field, want to advocate for reproductive rights, or just learn more, this meeting is for you! We will be discussing our new organization, plans for the future, and informing students of ways to get involved with executive board positions.
The purpose of the Honor Court is to serve as an investigatory body and as a court for the trial of violations and the determination of punishment in cases of guilt. The UGA Law Honor Court is accepting applications from first-year law students to apply to the Honor Court Investigator's Committee and Hearing Panel. This meeting will go over the details of the application, interview, and selection process.
