Please join us as we welcome the newly appointed Consul General of Ireland in Atlanta, Caoimhe Ní Chonchúir, who will give a talk discussing Women, Peace, and Security at the United Nations Security Council.

Caoimhe Ní Chonchúir was appointed Consul General of Ireland to the South East United States in January 2022. Based in Atlanta, she leads Ireland’s team covering Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Join us for a celebration of the birthday of our namesake, Dean Rusk. This open house event will also be the debut of our new exhibit, featuring items and papers from Rusk's life, particularly his time as a professor at Georgia Law.

The Southeastern Conference Law Schools are hosting A Series of Conversations on Name, Image, & Likeness and the Future of Intercollegiate Athletics. Associate Professor Laura Phillips Sawyer will serve on a panel with the University of Missouri's Thomas Lambert and Gary Myers discussing the topic Alston and Antitrust.

Georgia Supreme Court Justice Sarah Hawkins Warren, who is currently serving as the law school’s Hines Jurist in Residence, will deliver a lecture focusing on professionalism.

A reception will follow in the Davenport Rotunda.

Join the Law Library for “Fantastic Forms and Cool Calendars.” Our librarians will be showing you how to use Google Forms, Qualtrics, Zoom, and Outlook to take all the messy parts out of event planning and let you focus on the important stuff.

Judge Walter W. Davis of the Georgia Statewide Business Court will serve as the 2022 Lecturer for the Legal Studies Speaker Series, hosted by the Terry College of Business Certificate in Legal Studies. Davis will share his experience as a business lawyer and his current role as judge of the new business court in Georgia. He was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp as the first judge of the new court in July 2019. Davis is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Law.

Margaret Mullins serves as the National Security Advisor to U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock (Ga.). She previously worked for Senator Michael Bennet

Tomiko Brown-Nagin, dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, will deliver the 120th John A. Sibley Lecture.
