Book Repair Clinic is back! On Wednesday and Thursday, February 19th-20th, members of the Law Library's Collection Services department Rachel Evans and David Rutland will offer a clinic in the law library foyer for making small repairs to your law textbooks for free! Examples include: if a few pages are coming out or torn, or if the front cover is loose or has detached from the book, or if the spine is damaged. Come get these things patched up! Plan to drop your book off with us and pick it up later with a claim ticket that we'll give you.

The 2020 Wilbanks Child Endangerment and Sexual Exploitation Clinic Virtual Conference will be held in a webinar format. Topics will focus on the commercial and sexual exploitation of children, LGBTQ+ Youth in foster care and creative justice for survivors. The virtual conference's keynote lecture will be delivered by Director Tom C. Rawlings of the Georgia Division of Children and Family Services. Attorneys participating in the live webinar may earn up to 4 CLE credits.

The stars of the show will be all of our pets (aspiring therapy dogs, cats, plants, other - all are welcome!), but humans without pets should join as well! We are all going to miss those adorable pups in the Law Library Foyer this exam period, but we hope Zooming with our pets can be the next best thing. Feel free to pop in just for a minute, or stay for the entire half hour - up to you!

First Amendment Rights on Campus: Navigating Free Speech Issues for Students, Employees & Visitors

This class for UGA faculty and staff explores the legal frameworks governing speech and expression rights for members of the UGA community. Topic areas covered include, without limitation: forum analysis, time/place/manner restrictions, hate speech, public employee doctrine, academic freedom and heckler's veto.

Participants will learn about significant court decisions relating to speech rights in the higher education context and see how First Amendment principles are applied to case studies.

International Law Weekend - South 2021

The American Branch of the International Law Association (ABILA) and the Dean Rusk International Law Center are hosting this year's International Law Weekend, South.

President of the American Branch of the International Law Association, Leila Sadat, will give an introductory address. Panels will be moderated by UGA Law faculty members.
