The Use of Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms in the Enforcement of Security Interests and Insolvency

Orkun Akseli, Professor of Commerical Law at the University of Manchester Law School, is currently a Fulbright Scholar at Elon University Law School.

Professor Akseli studied for his LLB at Dokuz Eylul University Law Faculty, Izmir, Turkey. He obtained his LL.M. from the University of Georgia Law School, USA; MA from Istanbul Bilgi University Law Faculty and PhD from the University of Manchester Law School. Before embarking on academic life he practiced insurance defence and commercial litigation in Izmir. He is a member of Turkish Bar.

The School of Law will host a cocktail reception honoring the members of the Class of 2022 on Friday evening, May 20, 2022 at 6pm. Complimentary, non-transferrable admission provided for each graduate and one guest. Additional admissions may be purchased for $10 each. Preregistration is required.

No set topic, but a special guest may occasionally drop by. Whether you can drop in for 5 minutes or the full hour, we would love to see you for a little coffee talk!
