I’ve heard about this thing called transactional law and that there are deal lawyers that practice it. So what exactly do these transactional lawyers do? 

A few deal practitioners from Jones Day are hosting a panel presentation to help shed some light on this topic. The panel will walk through the steps involved in a transaction process using a prior cross-border deal as an example. They will cover the various stages of the deal process and give perspectives on the roles the deal team lawyers of various experience levels play in getting the deal done.

Life as a District Court Judge with the Honorable William M. Ray, II

The Federal Bar Association is proud to host the Honorable William M. Ray II from the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Before obtaining this position, Judge Ray served on the bench of the Georgia Court of Appeals for six years and the Superior Court in the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit for 10 years. He will be discussing a variety of topics, including judicial ethical rules, working relationships with litigators, and clerkships.
