Immigration attorney Kent Felty is a widely-recognized figure for his work on human trafficking cases. Felty travels to Athens to deliver his records for a new collection on human trafficking and will give a talk at Special Collections.

The School of Law will host a cocktail reception honoring the members of the Class of 2022 on Friday evening, May 20, 2022 at 6pm. Complimentary, non-transferrable admission provided for each graduate and one guest. Additional admissions may be purchased for $10 each. Preregistration is required.

Hey Law Dawgs!

It’s that time again–Food Frenzy is back and UGA Law is in it to win it! Food Frenzy is a fundraising competition hosted by the Georgia Attorney General where law schools compete to see which can raise the most money for their local food bank. UGA Law raised more than $15,000 to fight hunger in our community last year, narrowly losing to Mercer Law. This year we're taking #1 back! We need everyone’s help to accomplish our goal, so here are some important things to note:

2022 Lecturer for the Legal Studies Speaker Series: Judge Walter W. Davis

Judge Walter W. Davis of the Georgia Statewide Business Court will serve as the 2022 Lecturer for the Legal Studies Speaker Series, hosted by the Terry College of Business Certificate in Legal Studies. Davis will share his experience as a business lawyer and his current role as judge of the new business court in Georgia. He was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp as the first judge of the new court in July 2019. Davis is currently an adjunct professor at the School of Law.
