Biographical Information

Since 2017, Sarah Luppen Fowler has served as senior deputy general counsel for SAG-AFTRA, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. In this role she manages her team as well as supervises and sets claims and arbitration strategy against studios and producers for violations of collective bargaining agreements.

Previously she was served as of counsel at Steinbrecher & Span specializing in intellectual property cases; as a senior associate at Harder Mirell & Abrams working on complex business, entertainment, media, intellectual property and privacy litigation; and as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where she received the firm’s one-year public service fellowship to work with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California’s Public Counsel Federal Pro Se Clinic.

Fowler earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from the University of Georgia and her law degree from Vanderbilt University.
