Congratulations to Amy Weaver, winner of the 2021 Emma Terrell Distinguished Employee Award. Presented annually by the Law School Staff Representative Group, the award recognizes “individuals who have demonstrated a strong work ethic, commitment to service, and exceptional job performance as well as the cooperation needed to ensure the School of Law meets and exceeds its goals.”
Weaver, who joined the School of Law in 2018, works as an administrative specialist in the Dean’s Office.
In their nominations, Weaver’s colleagues shared the following about her:
- “She always has a smile on her face, especially when it matters most. She is always willing to step out of her assigned role to help you. She is warm and friendly and makes it a pleasure to visit her department.”
- “She is always the picture of kindness and helpfulness. No matter what she's got going on, which is always a lot, she never misses an opportunity to acknowledge you as [you] enter her department. She is someone who can be counted on in a pinch.”
- “Her job can be busy, emotionally taxing and stressful, and she works through it well and with a positive attitude. She's doing a hard job well.”
