Trial Practice

Biographical Information: 

Page Pate is a trial lawyer with the Atlanta-based firm Pate & Johnson.  His practice focuses on federal and state criminal defense, civil rights litigation and whistleblower representation. Page has been in private practice for over 20 years and has tried close to 50 jury trials to verdict.

Page is a former chairman of the Criminal Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and a board member of the Federal Defender Program in Atlanta. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and he was recently named as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the United States by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Page has also been named to the list of “Super Lawyers” in Georgia for the past nine consecutive years.

Page is a founding member of the Georgia Innocence Project and an active member of the Federal Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He is a frequent expert legal commentator on CNN as well as other national and local media.

Page earned his bachelor’s degree magna cum laude from Georgia State University and his law degree cum laude from Georgia Law. While at UGA, Page was the winner of the Russell Moot Court Competition and was awarded Best Oral Argument in the regional Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the regional National Moot Court Competition.
