Carlton Bain joined the Georgia Law staff in 2015 as a major gifts officer for the Office of Law School Advancement. His responsibilities include raising major gifts, coordinating law firm fundraising initiatives, engaging alumni volunteers and cultivating relationships as well as assisting with a variety of giving programs to grow private support and to ensure a strong future for the law school.
Bain has held various positions at UGA for more than 14 years. Most recently he was regional director of development at the Terry College of Business, where he worked alongside donors to grow their support and involvement in the business school. Previously, he worked for eight years in development, alumni relations, special events and admissions at the College of Veterinary Medicine. He also served as a research coordinator at the Carl Institute of Government from 2001 to 2004.
He earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and his Master of Public Administration from Piedmont College.
