Alex D. Sklut currently serves as the school’s assistant director of graduate legal studies and as the interim judicial clerkship coordinator for the career services office. She is responsible for recruitment, admissions, and day-to-day administration of Georgia Law’s graduate-level degrees, which include the Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Master in the Study of Law (M.S.L.) programs. Sklut also coordinates the School of Law’s various joint and dual degree programs. As interim judicial clerkship coordinator she handles student and alumni applications to state and federal court clerkships.
Sklut initially joined the law school’s staff in 2011 as a part-time coordinator in the Law School’s Dean Rusk Center for International Law and Policy and Fellow for the University of Georgia Law at Oxford program. She joined the law school staff full-time in 2013, first as graduate admissions coordinator and then assistant director of graduate legal studies. Sklut also served as the study abroad coordinator for the 2013 Georgia Law Summer Program in China.
Sklut earned her bachelor’s degree with distinction from Emory University in both Business Administration and Educational Studies in 2008. She then earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Georgia. Sklut has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (C.A.S.A.) since 2007.
