UGA ranked fourth highest producer of Fulbright Scholars; recipients include School of Law professor

Associate Professor Peter B. "Bo" Rutledge has received a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture and conduct research at the University of Vienna, Austria for the 2010-11 academic year. His project is entitled, "Dispute Resolution and the Constitution." Rutledge is one of four UGA professors who received the distinguished scholarship.


Keenan's Kids Foundation Announces Winners of the 10th Annual Law Student Closing Argument Competition

Georgia Law second-year student Trevor J. Maitland captured fourth place in the 10th Annual Keenan's Kids Foundation Law Student Closing Argument Competition. The competition, which was held in the Keenan Law Firm mock courtroom, was established to show students the importance of children's rights and to encourage them to practice in this area of the law.


Fifth UGA School of Law graduate in seven years selected to clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court

Georgia Law graduate Brian C. Lea (J.D.'09) has been invited to clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas of the U.S. Supreme Court for the October 2011 term. Lea's selection means that five former students have been selected to clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court in the last seven years and further solidifies Georgia Law's position among the nation's elite law schools for supplying clerks to our nation's highest court.
