Georgia Law finishes as quarterfinalists in national negotiation competition

Congratulations to third-year students Jerrod M. Lukacs and Maggie Schaufler who finished as quarterfinalists in the Fordham National Basketball Negotiation Competition during March.  The competition had students negotiating a scenario that a NBA player, coach, general manager, owner or franchise might encounter.


Georgia Law wins national mock trial competition

Congratulations to third-year students David B. Dove, Adam J. Fitzsimmons, Margaret E."Maggy" Randels and Emily K. Westberry for taking home the championship trophy in the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge.  Approximately 30 teams from law schools across the country participated in this national tournament.  The trio also prepared the second best brief in the contest. 


Georgia Law wins Prince Evidence Memorial Moot Court Competition

Congratulations to second-year students Xon R. Hostetter, George S. Ray and Nick Stanojevich for winning the 29th Annual Dean Jerome Prince Memorial Moot Court Competition. More than 35 teams from law schools across the country participated in this national tournament.  Stanojevich was named best oralist, and third-year student Kenneth J. "Kenny" Bentley coached the team.

Georgia Law finishes as finalists in Intrastate Moot Court Competition

Congratulations to second-year students Alicia N. Luncheon, M. Laughlin Kane and Spencer E. Schold for finishing as finalists in the 2014 Intrastate Moot Court Competition. A second UGA team, comprised of second-year students Dov Preminger, Alexander F. "Alex" Schwall and Ashley R. Wright, were semifinalists in the tournament. Both teams were coached by third-year students Allison L. Hill and Clayton O. "Clay" Knowles.
