Georgia Law wins National Trial Competition regional

Congratulations to third-year law student Jeremy B. Dailey and second-year students Whitney T. Judson and W. Alexander Smith for winning Region 5 of the Texas Bar Association National Trial Competition. This win qualifies the trio to compete for the national mock trial championship in March.  


Georgia Law wins National Moot Court Competition

Georgia Law recently won the 64th Annual National Moot Court Competition, which is the oldest and most prestigious moot court competition in the country. Third-year law students Steven L. Strasberg, Benjamin W. Thorpe and Emily K. Westberry represented UGA in the tournament, and Thorpe was named the competition’s best oralist.


Georgia Law to host music industry conference

Georgia Law’s Sports and Entertainment Law Society will host the 4th Annual Protect Athens Music Conference March 5 at the Melting Point in downtown Athens. Starting at 3:00 p.m., the conference will address issues relevant to the ever-evolving music scene and how to create a more sustainable music ecosystem. This event is free and open to the public.
