Candlelight memorial service will be held for UGA faculty, staff and students; School of Law Professor Dupre among those to be remembered

UGA will honor the memory of 33 faculty, staff and students who died since May at its annual candlelight memorial service May 1 at 6 p.m. on the steps of the Chapel. The names of each of the 13 students and 20 faculty and staff members will be read aloud, followed by a toll of the Chapel bell and the lighting of a candle by members of the university's Arch Society. Georgia Law late Hosch Professor Anne Proffitt Dupre will be among those recognized.

Congratulations to third-year law student Emmanuel Azih for advancing to the fourth and final round of the 2012 Next Top Entrepreneur competition. He and his partner finished among the top five entries, out of more than 50, for their business idea "CarFetcher" during April.
