In Memoriam: Col. John "Jack" Murray

Georgia Law regrets to announce the passing of Col. John "Jack" Murray, who taught at the law school from 1965 to 1976. During this time, he also served as associate dean and director of admissions. His areas of specialty were workers' compensation, contracts and criminal law. Murray passed away on Aug. 18 at the age of 94.


In Memoriam: John Rees

Georgia Law regrets to announce the passing of Law School Association Professor of Law Emeritus John B. Rees Jr., who served as a faculty member at the law school from 1959 to 2002. In addition to his role as a professor, Rees also served as assistant dean from 1964 to 1969, led the facilities committee that oversaw the design and construction of the law school's 1967 expansion and generously endowed the John B. Rees Jr. Law Library Book Fund. This highly respected scholar and friend passed away Sept.

Shipley and four others awarded Athletic Association Professorship
