$5000 IP LAW SCHOLARSHIP

Self-nominations due by January 24, 2020

Award will bepresented at the 8th Annual IP Gala at the Georgia Aquarium on February 6, 2020

Requirements:

o 2L or 3L law student having an interest in intellectual property law and attending a law school in Georgia

o Self-nomination process, which shall include a personal statement (500 word maximum) including an expression of interest in IP and discussion of any involvement in IP law related activities

o Resume

o Minimum 2 references (letters or recommendation accepted but not mandatory)

Considerations include:

? GPA, overall and in core IP courses

? Involvement in IP organizations, both within one's law school and within one's community (e.g., State Bar; IP Society at School; Inn of Court; PTO externships; Atlanta Lawyers for the Arts; AIPLA; ABA)

? Involvement in IP scholastic initiatives (e.g., IP moot court; research assistant to IP professor; IP journal)

? Prior IP experience
