Distinguished Research Professor & Shackelford Distinguished Professor in Taxation Law Walter Hellerstein presented a paper on formulary apportionment during a panel titled "Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base: Selected Issues of Technical Proposal" at the Group for Research on European and International Taxation (GREIT) Conference on Tax Mobility in Lisbon, Portugal, during June.

Georiga Law Professor Peter A. Appel has been appointed the inaugural holder of the Alex W. Smith Professorship in Law, which was established in memory of Alexander Wyly Smith III, a well-known Atlanta attorney, civic leader and philanthropist who died in 2008.

Graham has planned and will moderate the Linked Data session "Linked In: Library Data and the Semantic Web" at the 2011 American Library Association conference in New Orleans, La., in June. Graham's upcoming session has received "star" status by the Library Journal, meaning it has the greatest potential to provide learning, useful information, inspiration, enlightenment and/or entertainment.
