Nuts and Bolts of Military JAG Applications: Deadlines and Advice for Success

Friday, September 21, 2018 - 12:00pm to 12:50pm
Classroom E (252) - Hirsch Hall

Are you a current law student interested in joining the U.S. Military as a lawyer? With the U.S. JAG Corps, you have the opportunity to practice a wide variety of legal fields (including operational law, contract law, fiscal law, and criminal law), while gaining considerable courtroom experience and serving your country.
If you are a 1L or 2L interested in gaining some federal court experience over the summer or if you are on the fence about whether you want to join the JAG Corps after graduation, then you should consider an internship or externship with the JAG Corps.
Come to the Military Law Society's Application Help Session to hear advice from current 3L students who have navigated the JAG intern, extern, and active duty accessions application processes for all of the major branches. We will familiarize you with the application deadlines and processes, eligibility requirements, and share advice on how to have a successful application.
We encourage you to bring your own lunch to this session but will provide snacks and beverages.
